Welcome to Ireland's Secret Places, a new blog that highlights some of the best places to visit in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
The authors of this blog live in Northern Ireland and the places featured on this blog have been visited, often on more than one occasion. The content is biased in that it is based on our own interests and expectations, and it is based on our own personal experiences of visiting these places.
We have visited many countries and every country is unique and wonderful in its own right. We'd highly recommend visiting Ireland (North or South) - it's a beautiful part of the world with very friendly people.
Our top tip for visiting.... try to immerse yourself in the local culture and customs. Where possible, visit or stay with a local family - whether that be through relatives, staying in a BnB or a small family-style hotel located in a small village. This is how you will really get to know what the people are like, what the food is like, and what everyday lives are like. Whatever your plans, we hope you enjoy your visit and hope this blog will help in planning your trip.
